Annual Meeting & Registration

Annual Meeting April 18th, 2024 5:30 p.m.

Each year we hold our Annual Meeting to discuss the state of the credit union, including reports from the Chairperson of the Board and the Supervisory Committee, review of the annual meeting minutes and election of Board members. Last year we held our first hybrid meeting allowing attendance in person or virtually depending on individual needs. Many have found the virtual option to be more convenient and to allow them to attend when they otherwise would not have. However, some may prefer the in person option so we will continue to provide both options this year. Registration will be required for either type of attendance. The date of the meeting is April 18th, 2024. The meeting will begin at 5:30 PM Central Time.

To register for the virtual meeting, registration will be open from today until April 17th, 2024 at 12:00 PM CT and will be required so we can accommodate anyone who would like to attend. As a reminder, only primary members in good standing are allowed to vote on meeting items. Each primary member will need to register individually to cast a vote. The meeting is open exclusively to existing Gateway Metro Federal Credit Union members.

Please use the link below to register for the meeting only if you plan to attend virtually. Once you have registered, the information to join the meeting will be sent by email to all registrants on April 17th by 4 PM.

To register for the in person meeting, please email annualmeeting@gmcu.org with your name, contact phone number and how many will attend or call 314-621-4575 to make a reservation. Registration for the in person meeting will also be open from today until April 17th, 2024 at 12:00 PM CT and will be required so we can accommodate anyone who would like to attend in person. As a reminder, only primary members are allowed to vote on meeting items. Each primary member will need to register individually to cast a vote. Again, the meeting is open exclusively to existing Gateway Metro Federal Credit Union members.

GOVERNANCE

Credit unions are locally owned and operated in the communities they serve. Each member owns a share of the credit union and therefore has an equal voice when it comes to matters pertaining to the organization. The board of directors consist of unpaid volunteers voted in by their fellow members and are also members of that specific credit union. Since credit unions do not answer to any other shareholders, board members work to develop the organization, programs and policies in the best interest of the members.
